I'm really excited about tomorrow's show at Faust Harrison Pianos.  All of the music have been written the past 6 years including a US premiere of a new work titled "cuneiform and glide" by Montreal-based composer Eliot Britton (www.ebritton.com) whom I commissioned through the Canada Arts Council. There will be selections from my upcoming tzadik CD with Ryan Anthony Francis (www.ryananythonyfrancis.com) as well as works by Bang on a Can's very own Evan Ziporyn (www.ziporyn.com), Steel Pan master Andy Akiho (www.andyakiho.com), Polish Theremin-performing composer Jakub Ciupinski (www.ciupinski.com) and French American composer Daniel Wohl (www.danielwohlmusic.com).

Eureka Festival

Eliot Britton: GirlSpace

Montreal Science Centre, Zone 27

Put together some soundscapes for Nils Peters and his spatialisation system.  The visitors were able to position sound sources and take themselves on a mini sound oddesy.  Farm, Port, Forrest, Cityscape, Concert hall, etc.    It was cute when the kids would trigger the thunder sound then duck down when it cracked right above their heads.

Also, made friends with a girl at Zone 61 at the Montreal Science Centre. She let me play with their new reactable! Very interesting to get my hands on one of those things.
